Inaugural Seminar Largest on Record
On Saturday, April 16, 2016, Timberhaven Log & Timber Homes hosted its largest planning & construction seminar to date. That’s right – 74 log home enthusiasts gathered to gain a better understanding of our log home design and building processes. Guests from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia traveled to Middleburg, PA on Saturday for the inaugural seminar at the new facility.
Timberhaven has hosted multiple one-day events since its inception in April 2013, but a crowd of this magnitude has not been witnessed in a log home industry event, similar to this seminar, in nearly a decade.
“I just wanted to thank you and tell you how much my husband and I appreciated all the hard work that went into Saturday’s Seminar! I have done that type of work for years so I know what goes into pulling off an event of that nature. It was very well attended. From our side it went seamlessly. I loved the way everyone worked together!
I come from a Real Estate and Construction family, so for me learning a bit about your business proved very interesting! I have been interested in a log home for years and am in the beginning stages of making it a reality! We look forward to working with you in our process.” ……….Diane Scott
From concept through construction Timberhaven’s professional staff informed attendees how to compare log home manufacturers, what considerations should be made when finalizing a design and purchasing land, and walked attendees step by step through the manufacturing process. Guests toured the new manufacturing facility on 1081 Salem Church Road, Middleburg and had an opportunity to see first-hand how the company’s logs are engineered, planed, profiled, and assessed for quality per Log Home Council’s grading standards. Insights were also shared regarding building site preparations and delivery-day techniques.
Attendees responded favorably to the statement, “My overall experience here was beneficial, and I would recommend this workshop.” In fact, 35 out of 36 surveys collected indicated that the event was superior (25) or excellent (10). Here is what some other seminar attendees had to say about Saturday’s event.
“VERY INFORMATIVE! Excellent attitudes while presenting and answering questions.”
“I could be here for a week!”
