Wooden Stair System: 4x Heavy Timber Stairs

The 4x heavy timbered exposed stair system is quite popular among our log home clients. The look and feel mirrors the log walls and tongue & groove flooring nicely. In a conventional home with painted dry-wall, this stair system would add some pizzazz and warmth. Standard components of this system are the 4×12 stringers and 4×12 treads manufactured with our Engineered Eastern White Pine or Traditional Solid Eastern White Pine material.

Wooden Stair System: Solid Log Stairs

If you’re looking to create a rustic-lodge effect, the half log stair system is for you. The specialty wooden components of this system include full log stringers and half log treads in Lodgepole Pine or White Cedar. The log stair system is also available with a clean peeled or skip-peeled surface. Here are a few examples of our stunningly beautiful log stair system.

When you combine the Adirondack-like solid log stair system (as mentioned above) with a spiral effect, the outcome is nothing short of spectacular. Our log spiral stair system includes round vertical supports, half log treads and full log ends handcrafted from Lodgepole Pine or White Cedar with either a clean-peeled or skip-peeled surface.
